The Franklin Community

Franklin, Tennessee is nestled in the heart of Williamson County about twenty miles south of Nashville, Tennessee.  The Franklin community offers all of the fine amenities of metropolitan living while also offering the small-town feel that makes it one of the most desirable locations to live in the country.

Williamson County is ranked 18th on the list of America’s wealthiest counties, and is now the second fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee. Franklin, the county seat, was named by Business Week editors as one of the top 50 small U.S. cities in which to start a business.

Franklin offers so much for all walks of life. This town is rich in Civil War culture as we are the home of the Carnton Plantation, which played an important role during and immediately after the Battle of Franklin. The Carnton Plantation also was the setting for the New York Times Best Seller, The Widow of the South. during the American Civil War.  Franklin also has several Civil War battlefields and offers the Tennessee Civil War Trail in which to follow thousands of markers in Williamson County.

If shopping is what intrigues you, Franklin has a vast array of shops and markets, from the Cool Springs Galleria Mall to The Factory at Franklin, to our historic downtown Main Street, in which to find several quaint, charming boutiques and restaurants.
